Come on Over

Beat the Friday 13th blues with the luck of the Irish! Join us for a night of film, music and of old-fashioned fun as part of the St. Patrick’s celebrations in Berlin.

Previously screened in MoMA New York and Barbican London, Shebeen Flick, Kinostalgia and the Irish Film Institute (IFI) are proud to present COME ON OVER for the first time in Berlin.

COME ON OVER tells the story of feisty Moyna Killilea (Colleeen Moore), who travels across the sea from Lisdoonvarna to follow her sweetheart (Ralph Graves) to a New York boarding house. A series of misunderstandings and adventures ensue, featuring high society dames, a formidable landlady, Irish cops and drunken layabouts, all climaxing at a ceilidh.

With a cast full of lively characters, this Irish comedy gem has not been seen before in Germany. It is presented here with a live improvised score by pianist Gregor Graciano and piper Christian Tschirch.
